Lupe Vidaurri is the HEAL Program Coordinator with Collective Justice. Growing up Chicana, the roots of her ancestors, and the lived experience of herself, her loved ones, and communities have shaped the way she moves in the world and is what moves her to do this work; work that is characterized by a profound love for people and commitment to nurturing individual and collective power.
Previously, Lupe has worked as a Senior Counselor and Senior Supervisor with the City of Seattle, where she worked closely with young people of color impacted by systems of oppression and marginalization to empower them to grow as community leaders and prepare them for their future work and career opportunities. While working with at the City, Lupe served as the co-lead of the Human Services Department's Latinx caucus where she fought to undo institutional racism within City departments. She has also been a HEAL facilitator with Collective Justice since early 2017 and is a board member and sponsor for the Latino Development Organization and their Latino Mentorship Program (LaMP) at Washington State Reformatory. Lupe obtained her BA in Law, Societies, and Justice and Sociology from the University of Washington.
